With ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ right around the corner and marketing ramping up for the big finale.  We are all clinging to every bit of news and information we can find.  Episode VII recently garnered a PG13 rating which left some fans surprised since Disney now owns the rights.  Recently news surfaced that has left some fans raising a red flag..

John Boyega aka Finn was recently asked by Deadline at the 2016 Film Independent Indie Spirit Awards what he thought fans reactions would be to the upcoming film.  Here’s what he had to say:

“I think for now, based on what I saw, and based on my experiences on the set, I just don’t know. This is a discussion I was having with J.J. [Abrams] yesterday and I was just like ‘How are people going to react to this movie?’ But there’s going to be a reaction for sure. I’m going to try to see it as many times as possible with different audiences just to gauge everyone’s opinions of it.”

While these statements raise many questions it makes you wonder if he is taking the Mark Hamill approach:

“I’m telling you, it’s just a movie. These people that build it up in their minds like it’s going to be the second coming of, I don’t know what — they’re bound to be disappointed.”

I believe many of the cast members have taken to the approach of trying to keep peoples expectations realistic and keep them from setting  bar so high, not even the Millennium Falcon couldn’t reach it.

What do you think of John Boyega and Mark Hamill’s statements about Episode VII?
