“HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH AN INDIAN SPIRIT EXACTING REVENGE THROUGH THE ZOMBIE BODY OF A YOUNG BEAUTIFUL DEAF WOMAN”

Published

Writer, Editor and Director Michael S. Ojeda takes one of the most incomprehensible plot lines that I have ever heard of, and spins it into one of the most brilliant and “bloody” heartfelt masterpieces I have ever been privy to witness on screen.

‘Avenged’ is a movie that doesn’t take long to pick up steam. Director Michael S. Ojeda immediately sets up the strange nature of this film, when Zoe (Amanda Adrienne) is given one last gift from her late father, a Pontiac GTO. She is warned that it may not be a good idea to travel west alone due to the fact that it is a desolate place, and people tend to be a bit “Crazy.” she is also alerted to the notable fact, “What if your car breaks down..?” Zoe decides against her better judgment, and embarks on a journey to see her loving boyfriend.

After a few stops, and some fun photography, her world takes a turn for the worst when she intercepts some men being chased down by a murderous gang.

This movie then spirals into what can only be described as one of the most original, supernatural, blood-fest, love stories I have ever seen in independent film history, led with brilliant acting and heart felt emotion from star Amanda Adrienne. Oh yeah, and did I mention blood-fest..? yes, this isn’t one for the faint of heart. If you are a fan of violence, blood, gore and guts coupled with creative fatalities… You have come to the right place and will be in for a treat.

I personally would recommend this movie to anyone who is on the hunt for a very well written independent movie, that brings together elements of originality that you wouldn’t normally think can be pulled off together on screen. ‘Avenged,’ leaves us with a heart felt ending that brings it all back to what’s at its core. “Revenge and Love”

Robert Englund To Return As Freddy Krueger For One Last Movie..

Published

on

‘Lord of the Rings’ star, Elijah Wood and his SpectreVision production partner Daniel Noah, have been toying with the idea of bringing back horror icon, Freddy Krueger. The two have added the property to their wish list of films to make. The duo as of recent has been actively pursing bringing the nightmare hunter back to the big screen. Recently, while making the rounds to promote his new movie, ‘Come to Daddy,’ Wood dropped a surprise as to how he would approach the film.

“You have to bring Robert Englund back for one more film. I think, especially if you’re going to open up a new franchise and take it in different directions, you have to establish it with him and then you can move on. I don’t think it’s interesting to tell the same story over and over again, we don’t need another origin story of Freddy Krueger, I don’t think it should even really be so much about Freddy.”

It sounds like Wood plans to have a “Final” send off for Freddy Krueger/Robert Englund, then expand the franchise beyond what we already know, stating, the film “Shouldn’t even really be so much about Freddy.”

This sounds like an interesting approach to the lore of Krueger. After years of shutting out the possibility of a return to Elm Street, Robert Englund has gone on record saying, he might have one more Freddy movie in him.

Speaking further, Wood also credited New Nightmare with opening the door to referencing other horror movies in another movie

“Scream owes a real debt to New Nightmare. That was the first time the notion of referencing horror movies in another horror movie was possible, it had never really been done before.”
