The success of ‘Batman v Superman’ has blown the doors wide open for the DCEU. Breaking records along the way with its 166mil opening weekend. BvS has already earned an estimated $424 mil while continuing to grow well beyond what critics thought it would.
It would appear that Snyder and crew have decided to throw another slap to the face of critics, by immediately releasing a deleted scene from the film. The scene depicts Lex Luthor standing in what looks like blood, in the Kryptonian space craft used to create Doomsday. It also appears to be during a time where he is gathering knowledge from the ships computer. As a military swat team moves in, we see Steppenwolf, who also appears to be holding three “Mother Boxes.” One of which is already on Earth and used to create Cyborg. (Maybe this is what’s called Darkseid to Earth)
As one of the New Gods, Steppenwolf (which is German for “Wolf of the Steppe,” or coyote) is the younger brother of Heggra, and the uncle of Uxas (Darkseid). He is also a member of Darkseid’s Elite. He leads the military of Apokolipsand also rides a hover bike which may be at the same level of technology as Orion‘s.
ORIGINAL SUPERMAN THEME TO RETURN FOR ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE!’
With the final ‘Justice League’ trailer eminent and rumors flying in all directions about what we can expect from the Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon collaborated film. Fans have been collectively holding their breathe as to who’s side The Man of Steel will be on when he is resurrected. Reports suggest we will see a dark version of Superman, sporting his black costume and angry with the newly formed Justice League for allowing “His World” to end, that being the death of Lois Lane..
It would appear that the composer for the film, Danny Elfman has let slip some fantastic information that may shed some light into what we can expect.
In a recent interview with Billboard Danny Elfman had this to say:
“There are a few little fan moments. I instated a moment of the Wonder Woman theme that Hans Zimmer did for Batman v Superman, but I also had two minutes where I had the pleasure of saying, ‘Let’s do John Williams’ Superman,’ and that for me was heaven, because now I have a melody to twist, and I’m using it in an actually very dark way, in a dark moment. It’s the kind of thing that some fans will notice. Some won’t. It’s a moment where we’re really not sure whose side he’s on.”
It would appear that Danny Elfman was given the green light to include the original/classic Superman theme song composed by the legendary John Williams. It sounds like the song will play at a critical moment, when everyone is trying to figure out just who’s side the man of steel is on and make for a classic scene signaling the return of SUPERMAN!!
MATHEW VAUGHN: “HE’S A BEACON OF LIGHT IN DARKNESS”
With ‘Justice League’ nearing and the resurrection of the Man of Steel imminent, fans have begun to wonder what we can expect from a “Superman 2” film. There hasn’t been much confirmed as far as the direction of the film, but some have speculated that we will see the “Rebirth” of Super girl on screen.
A very short list of Directors has emerged and with the recent and unfortunate departure of Zack Snyder due to family issues from the ‘Justice League’ film, one can only assume we will end up with a fresh take on the Man of Steel.

[kb_description]”He’s a beacon of light in darkness”[/kb_description]
One name that has recently been talked about is ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Director Mathew Vaughn. In a recent interview with Collider, Vaughn opened up about his possible vision for a Superman film:
“Weirdly if I did do Superman—and I made the mistake of telling someone yesterday I have spoken about it and then wallop (laughs)—I think my main take would be, it’s really boring but make a Superman film. I just don’t feel a proper Superman—I think Donner did it to perfection for that time. Just doing the modern—I wanna do a modern version of the Donner [version]. Go back to the source material… For me Superman is color, feel-good, heroic. He’s a beacon of light in darkness. And that’s what I think Superman should be.”
Though this take sounds exiting, I feel that was what Bryan Singer attempted to pull off with 2006’s ‘Superman Returns.’ The film took in a modest 391 million and was met with harsh criticism. It would be hard to say if Mathew Vaughn would be able to do anything different with this concept. But only time will tell what’s in store, for the last son of krypton.
