CinemaCon 2016 kicked off releasing info and new footage on upcoming movies.  Some were expected, some interesting and some very exciting.  Let’s take a look at  a few that caught our attention!

While there is no storyline at this point.  Bad Boys follows Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) as two detective who have to go through extreme measures to solve complex cases.  It looks to have a release date of June 2, 2017 and is rumored to be directed by Joe Carnahan.

Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.  Magnificent 7 looks to have a release date of September 23, 2016.

This is a film I’m particularly excited for.  I’ve always been a fan of this franchise.  It would appear that Blood Wars will take place after Underworld: Awakening, reprising the main cast of the original film with Kate Beckinsale as Selene and Theo James returning as Selene’s ally David. Underworld: Blood Wars is set to release October 14, 2016.

Now here’s the interesting one.. MIB23.  I thought this was a joke at first but apparently this is a real thing.  The worlds of ‘Men In black‘ and ‘21 Jump Street‘ will be crossing over and forming MIB23.  There isn’t much news regarding this film other than Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are set to reprise their roles with  James Bobin directing.

Last but not least, one of the most highly anticipated films finally received a title image.  Even thought Spider-Man has been rebooted recently, it’s finally back in the hands of Marvel.  Which in itself bring excitement to many fans.  Spider-Man will feature the newly cast Tom Holland who we will see in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.  Reports have surfaced recently that Michael Keaton is in early talks for a role in the film as its antagonist.  Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters July 7, 2017.
