Dean Israelite’s 2017 ‘Power Rangers’ has slowly been ramping up its campaign to bring the newly redesigned Rangers to the screen. Casting announcements have fans like myself, excited for its potential. With the likes of Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa) and Brian Cranston (Zordon) joining the cast, new reports also suggest we will be seeing Alpha 5 gracing the screen as well.
Cranston spoke to Entertainment Tonight and gave some insight into the new direction of Zordon:
“It’s motion capture, and it’s a lot of CGI-work,”
Cranston went on to say:
“The tenant of that storyline is that this a real person who is trapped in this etherworld and it becomes this in-the-wall so to speak of [the command center],” he revealed. “He still has a heart and mind, but an agenda that he’s got to get these five Power Rangers to defend the earth or else everyone they know will be killed.”
Elizabeth Banks has been spotted on set, causing trouble in Angel Grove. Details are still sparse at the moment on how the story will play out. Some have speculated that she will be the fallen green ranger that Zordon battled in the past and trapped in a space dumpster.
New York Comic Con on March 8th has confirmed we will get our first look at a trailer for the March 24, 2017 Power Rangers film. In the meantime, take a look at the new “Zord” character posters below!

Dacre Montgomery: “There Is A [Power Rangers] Movie In The Works But It’s Not With Me And The Cast”
During a recent interview with Reddit, for ‘Stranger Things: Season 3,’ Dacre Montgomery, who plays Billy on the Netflix series, was probed to find out if we would see the return of a different character of his. Montgomery, notably is known for his role as Jason “The Red Ranger” in 2017’s ‘Power Rangers’ reboot. Montgomery gave fans hope that we would see a return to the big screen for one of the longest running franchises of all-time. He also may disappoint some fans, stating, he doesn’t believe they will continue with the story and cast that starred in the 2017 film.
“I think there is a [Power Rangers] movie in the works but it’s not with me and the cast. So yes [a new Power Rangers movie will happen], but not with us.”

NEW ‘POWER RANGERS’ PROMO ART REVEALS BETTER LOOK AT POWER SUITS
New promo art has arrived giving us a better look at 2017’s ‘Power Rangers’ suits in action. With the movie set to hit theaters in March. Promotion of the upcoming him has ramped up tremendously. Actor Bryan Cranston who is playing Zordon, even went on the offensive while speaking to Huffington Post comparing Power Ranges to ‘The Dark Knight,’ stating:
This is as different a reimagining as the ‘Batman’ television series as it became the ‘Batman’ movie series. You can’t compare those two, and nor can you compare this movie version of the ‘Power Rangers’ to that television series. It’s unrecognizable for the most part. There are tenets of the folklore that you hold onto for sure, but the inspiration is different, and the sensibility of it, and the approach to the film making is completely different.
