It must be great to be the CEO of Disney! Bob Iger recently had the opportunity to have a super early screening of Star War Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Obviously we have to take what he says with a grain of salt, considering Episode VIII will directly effect his company’s year end profit for 2017. But Iger after a reported Disney earnings call told numerous sources that he had seen the film, and described it as:
“a great next chapter in the iconic Skywalker family saga.”
This for many reasons is great news for fans of the continuing Star Wars franchise. As usual, the Star Wars camp is routinely tight lipped about spoilers pertaining to the film. Though we will have to wait until December 15 to get a glimpse of Rian Johnson’s take on the world created by George Lucas. We can’t help but cling to any little piece of news released.
Perk of being @WaltDisneyCo CEO: seeing The Last Jedi early. Bob Iger calls it "a great next chapter in the iconic Skywalker family saga."
