It would appear that some contradiction is beginning to take place between Sony and Marvel. Originally, Marvel president Kevin Feige made claim that Tom Hardy’s venom would in no way be connected to the Spiderman world currently being constructed by Marvel.

Sony’s Amy Pascal had another take on the upcoming projects. In a recent interview with Film Starts, she stated: “They will all take place in the world we’re now creating for Peter Parker,” She went on further to better describe how the worlds will mesh: “There’ll be adjuncts to it, there may be different locations, but they will all still be in the same world. And they will be connected to each other as well”

Pascal was later asked if there was a chance we could see Tom Hollands Spiderman make an appearance in future Sony Spiderman spinoffs, to which she replied: “There’s a chance.”

Kevin Feige in a different interview, went on to confirm that reversely Marvel has no plans to include Venom in the MCU as of now: “It’s Sony’s project.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming reaches cinemas 5 July, with Venomcoming 5 October, 2018.
