Monsters have been making a comeback in American cinema. With 2017’s ‘Kong: Skull Island’ rounding out its world tour and Tom Cruise chasing down ‘The Mummy,’ the “God” of all monsters is ready to make his return to the big screen.
2014’s ‘Godzilla’ was met with some criticism but financial success, amassing over $500million worldwide. It was later announced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. That they would begin building toward a catastrophic 2020 showdown between two of the greatest monsters of all-time, Godzilla and King Kong.
Filming has now begun on the officially titled ‘Godzilla: The King of All Monsters.’ Confirmed reports have stated Godzilla 2 will be pulling out all the stops, featuring some classic Toho monsters such as Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah.
Of all the monsters Godzilla has faced, King Gihdora is widely considered the arch nemesis of Godzilla and his most formidable foe.
