In recent weeks, some confusion has surfaced as to whether Sony’s Venom played by Tom Hardy would be a part of the MCU. While Marvel Exec Kevin Feige insist it will not. Sony’s Producer Amy Pascal has other plans, letting slip during a recent interview that the worlds will be intertwined. Or at least some day, we can expect to see a cross over.

‘Venom’ is said to be the kick-off point for a shared/not shared Spider-Man universe, that will feature many Spider-Man villains minus the wall crawler himself. Recently, Spider-Man super villain Carnage has been touted as the main antagonist for the upcoming ‘Venom’ film.

In a recent interview with Screenrant at a ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ press junket, Holland was asked about his thoughts on ‘Venom,’ and the spidey-verse that Sony is currently developing. He was also asked about the prospect of working with the likes of Tom Hardy:

“That’s something that’s not up to me, I am the MCU’s Spider-Man, I exist in a world with the Avengers. If Venom exists in that world, I don’t really know the answer to that question. I don’t think he does. But yeah, any opportunity to work with Tom Hardy, I’d jump to it.”

It sounds like Holland is definitely open to the idea of his Spider-Man co-existing  between Sony and Marvel. Only time will tell how things will end up.
