Recently, exciting news has hit the internet. Director M. Night Shyamalan has began filming on his upcoming sequel to 2000’s ‘Unbreakable,’ and 2017’s surprise hit film ‘Split.’ With a 9mil budget ‘Spit’ didn’t seem too promising. But James McAvoy and company proved all naysayers wrong, pulling in over $276 mil worldwide and guaranteeing itself a sequel in some form or another.

Over the last year, Shyamalan has teased fans with social media posts. Telling fans that he’s writing the script and giving us a blow by blow of what draft he has finished. Well my friends that has all come to an end. On October first, Shyamalan took to social media to share this post:

[kb_description]”Seventeen years in the making”[/kb_description]

This was very exciting news as many of us took his earlier posts with a grain of salt. So many movies these days end up in “Production hell,” and never see the light of day. Shyamalan promised the return of all major characters to the franchise, including, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, James McAvoy, Anya Taylor Joy and Robin Wright as Audrey Dunn.

M. Night Shyamalan topped the week off with this last post which surely will make fans excited:
