Unfortunately, fans of Ben Affleck’s version of the Dark Knight may be in for a major let down. More confirmed reports suggest Matt Reeves new Batman movie script will feature a young version of the caped crusader. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reeves has handed in his first act for the upcoming screenplay. The script is believed to feature and center around a younger Batman/Bruce Wayne. Which would suggest the DCEU’s current version, played by Affleck, as an aged brooding bat is being kicked to the curb. The reports also come amidst a revamping of the DCEU entirely.

Two new [Joker] projects have been announced. One starring Joaquin Phoenix in a “Joker origin” film, with Jared Leto’s incarnation of the crown prince set to return as well. New DC Films President Walter Hamada is taking over for the departed Geoff Johns, no clear path has been set for the future direction of the DCEU.

As for now, we will for sure see James Wan’s ‘Aquaman’ starring Jason Momoa and Amber Heard. Along with ‘Shazam,’ starring Zachary Levi entering post production, and Patty Jenkins ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.
