The rumor mill has been up and down about the return of Marvel’s most popular vampire hunter, Blade. Wesley Snipes over the years has expressed interest in returning to the property but A lot has changed in the world of comic book film, since the release of ‘Blade’ back in 1998. The Blade trilogy has grossed over $415 mil world wide. Which by modern day standards amounts to about an opening weekend average per film. With that being said, the day walker has been widely regarded as a necessary and missing piece to the MCU.
With Marvel’s Phase 4 shortly underway, we know that there will be room for other projects to work their way into the new direction of Marvel. Well, it would appear that fans of the franchise just might get their wish! In a recent interview with Vice, Snipes faned the flames for the return of the Day Walker:
“There are a lot of conversations going around right now and we’re very blessed to have the enthusiasm and interest in something coming from that world again. We’ve created two projects that fit perfectly into this world and, when people see them, I think they’re only going to have a problem with deciding which one they love the most.”
Now, a conversation with Marvel execs doesn’t really mean a whole lot. I’m sure ideas are tossed their way on a daily basis. But, Snipes went on further to explain how hopeful he is for the return of Blade:
“All the main execs [at Marvel] and my team, we’ve been discussing for the past two years. Everyone’s enthusiastic about it, everybody gets it. But they got a business to run and they gotta square the things that they gotta figure out before they can get to it, I guess. In the meantime, we got a business to run and our own slate of things to do so…But the next time you see something in [the Blade universe], mark my words: what we did before is child’s play compared to what we can do now.”
Though exciting to hear, it sounds like even Snipes is skeptical about his chances of returning to the big screen as the vampire killer. Considering two years of conversation hasn’t amounted to much, it’s still exciting to hear, that if Blade returns, we will see a “Day Walker” the likes of which has never been seen!

Justice Prevails: The Voice of The Fans Bring “Release The Snyder Cut”
Yesterday, the internet exploded with news that #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was no longer a myth or an urban legend, but in fact happening. Zack Snyder confirmed during a ‘Justice League’ Vero watch party that HBO Max would be releasing a fully Zack Snyder produced version of 2017’s ‘Justice League.’
Snyder, who was the original director of the JL film, was forced to leave the project abruptly, due to a family tragedy. Warner Bros. execs immediately turned to top Marvel producer Joss Whedon to finish the project. Fans were divided on the outcome of ‘Justice League.’ With a 40% Rotten score and 71% audience score, JL managed to earn $657.9mil at the box-office, which by today’s standards is a poor showing.
Early reports suggest, Warner Bros. and HBO Max will be shelling out an additional $20-30mil for Snyder to complete HIS vision for JL and bring it to HBO streaming in 2021. Other reports suggest, ‘Zack Snyder’s: Justice League’ will have a four plus hour runtime. To many, this suggests, the movie will be broken up in to a four part series. Snyder has reached out to cast members, asking some of them to return for re-shoots and voice overs. Ray fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg) was the first to receive a call from Snyder.
“He was like, ‘You’re kidding me, right?'”
Snyder went on to talk about his film and what fans can expect from his version of Justice League:
“It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie,” he said.
“You probably saw one-fourth of what I did.”
Some of the JL cast have reacted online to the news of Snyder’s vision returning to the screen. Take a look below at the reactions.
