Warner Bros. Releasing Upcoming Slate of Films To Theater And Streaming [HBO Max]
Warner Bros. Studios has decided that its upcoming slate of films, beginning December 25th, 2020 through all of next year, will make their debut in theaters while simultaneously streaming on HBO Max. The decision comes on the heals of WB’s decision to release, ‘Wonder Woman 1984,’ in theaters and streaming on HBO Max.
Some fear this decision will expedite the death of movie theaters as a whole. While some fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment in not being able to experience films, such as ‘Godzilla vs Kong,’ in theaters. Many believe, a film like that and many others like it, can only be experienced on the big screen.
I'm still reeling from the news…I do not believe movie theaters will go away permanently and be erased from existence. I believe in offering everyone a choice and in these desperate times where there's still a pandemic to deal with, this is the right choice. pic.twitter.com/8JZbNLLlDt
