“When you see this it will melt your mind”
With 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con International coming to a close, many are trying to gather themselves and wrap their heads around the overload of information that spilled its way out of the fan favorite festival. With all the news that usually accompanies Comic-Con, fans can sift through and take away what means most to them. Well, per usual, Kevin Smith has dropped more than just his ‘Jay And Silent Bob: Reboot’ trailer. In a recent interview to come out of Comic-Con, Smith was asked about his visit to J.J. Abrams ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ set, and he did not disappoint:
“There was a scuttlebutt about a set there at Pinewood. A big set that they were like, ‘You have to see this, when you see this it will melt your mind.’ I was like ‘What was it?’ They’re like ‘Ask J.J.’ And so I asked J.J. I was like, ‘They keep telling me I should see the set.’ And he goes, ‘Don’t.’ I said ‘Why?’ He said, ‘It’s the last shot of the movie.’ So I was like, ‘Well, now I REALLY want to see it.’ He said, ‘You don’t want to be spoiled. You want to be in a theater when this happens, trust me.’ And then other people on the crew were like, ‘Bro, I wish I hadn’t seen it. I’m glad I did, but it will melt your mind.”
I’m not sure what level of “God-Like” will power one would have to have, in order to not take at least the smallest peek at what Abrams has in store for the conclusion for Episode IX. Never the less, Smith resisted and continued to explain his reasoning for not even taking a quick look:
“So for that reason alone, as inquisitive as I am, and curious as I am, I desperately wanted to go look. But when you talk to the magician and the magician’s like ‘Trust me on this one.’ Sometimes as human beings we want to know how they pull the rabbit out of the hat. But J.J.’s such a magical magician that I’m just like ‘You know what? OK, trick me.’ I’ll wait and get tricked. Even though I could’ve seen what it was, I was like ‘I’ll sit back. I’ll like your plan.’ He’s never let me down so far.”
‘The Rise of Skywalker’ is shrouded in secrecy. It sounds like we will still have to wait until December 20th to discover the mysteries that Abrams has in store for us. Check out the video below of Kevin Smith’s interview.

After A Brief Break-Up Tom Holland/Spider-Man Will Stay With Marvel
“You never know what surprises the future might hold”
It would appear that we won’t be seeing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man grace the screen with the likes of Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson, in the Andy Serkis directed ‘Venom 2.’ Or will we. Reports are scarce as to the details of the agreement reached between Marvel/Disney and Sony. But, inside sources reveal that Marvel will take home 25% from future Spider-Man films.
The negotiations also landed on a release date for a third Spider-Man film. We are expected to see Holland return to action, July 16, 2021. Holland recently took to social media, to express his excitement about returning to the MCU:
Amy Pascal will produce the upcoming films through her production company, Pascal Pictures as she has on the first two Holland/Spidey films. Pascal weighed in on the news:
“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it,” Feige said in a statement. “Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”
“This is terrific,” she said. “Peter Parker’s story took a dramatic turn in ‘Far From Home’ and I could not be happier we will all be working together as we see where his journey goes.”

The recent installment into Star Wars lore, will feature Cal Kestis, played by Cameron Monaghan. The story will revolve around a Human Jedi Palawan who is forced into hiding following the events of ‘Episode III: Revenge of the Sith’ and the “Execution of Order 66.” The latest trailer gives us a glimpse at some amazing gameplay, and also reveals the mission of the main protagonist. ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ looks to be the Star Wars game we all deserve.

Breaking News: Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Will Develop A Star Wars Movie
In a world of breaking news, Disney’s studio co-chairmen Alan Horn dropped another bombshell on the universe, that comes to us by way of THR. It would appear that Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, will be developing his very own Star Wars movie. Recently, a meeting between Feige, Kathleen Kennedy, studio co-chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman has brought about the exciting news. Horn had this to say about the new development:
We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox. With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.

Feige has been responsible for overseeing the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which as of today, has racked up over $22.5 billion at the worldwide box-office. Little is known as to what direction Feige’s film will take, but it will definitely have company. Rian Johnson’s trilogy is still in the works, along with ‘Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’s project and multiple small screen projects on Disney + that include the upcoming ‘The Mandalorian‘ and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi.’ Kenobi, has confirmed the return of Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the title character.
‘Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker,’ will conclude the “Skywalker franchise” December 20, 2019
