Breaking News: Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Will Develop A Star Wars Movie

Published

In a world of breaking news, Disney’s studio co-chairmen Alan Horn dropped another bombshell on the universe, that comes to us by way of THR. It would appear that Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, will be developing his very own Star Wars movie. Recently, a meeting between Feige,  Kathleen Kennedy, studio co-chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman has brought about the exciting news. Horn had this to say about the new development:

We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox. With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.

Feige has been responsible for overseeing the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which as of today, has racked up over $22.5 billion at the worldwide box-office. Little is known as to what direction Feige’s film will take, but it will definitely have company. Rian Johnson’s trilogy is still in the works, along with ‘Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’s project and multiple small screen projects on Disney + that include the upcomingThe Mandalorian and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi.’ Kenobi, has confirmed the return of Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the title character.

‘Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker,’ will conclude the “Skywalker franchise” December 20, 2019

Marvel Studios has given us our first look at its upcoming Disney + shows, which include, ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, ‘WandaVision’ and a quick tease of ‘Loki.’

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ is set to take place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ and picks up with (Anthony Mackie’s) Sam Wilson who is now the new “Captain America.” The show will center around new global adventures with Sam and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan.)

‘WandaVision’ will also make its debut this fall, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Wanda Maximoff and the Vision. The 1950s-inspired series will have Wanda and Vision trying to live a “Normal” life. But things aren’t always what they seem. The latest trailer shows the two heroes jumping in and out of different timelines. The show has been described as comedic and dark.

Little is known about the upcoming ‘Loki’ series, as the show isn’t set to air until 2021. We do know, the show will also take place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ How Loki survived having his neck broken by the mad titan, Thanos, has yet to be revealed. Apparently the God of Mischief had one more trick up his sleeve. The latest teaser has Loki promising, “I’m going to burn this place to the ground.”
